Annual Photo Walk Set for July 16th

The Stand’s Seventh annual South Side Photo Walk will capture a day on Syracuse’s South Side.

The event will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 16, at the South Side Innovation Center, 2610 South Salina St. (across from Dunk & Bright).

The event will open with a photo lesson taught by professional photographer Bob Gates. Kate Collins, a photo & video manager at syracuse.com, will also give a short lesson on best practices for taking photos with a smart phone.

Following the walk, photographers will share photos, and the best shots will be published in the September print issue of The Stand.

This event is free and open to photographers of all ages at any level. Interested participants can RSVP here or by contacting The Stand’s Director Ashley Kang. A limited number of cameras are available for loan. To request to borrow a camera, contact Kang by July 6 via email at ashley@mysouthsidestand.com or by calling (315) 882-1054.
