July’s Annual Photo Walk Adventure

The Eighth annual South Side Photo Walk will be held the fourth Saturday in July.

The event will open with a photo lesson by professional photographers Kate Collins, who is a photo and video manager at syracuse.com, and Marilu Lopez Fretts, who is a freelance and multimedia photographer. After the walk, all participants will share the photos they took, and the best shots will be published in the September print issue of The Stand.

Each summer The Stand holds its annual Photo Walk to document a typical summer day on Syracuse’s South Side. The event is open to all skill levels and ages. Even if you do not own a camera, you are welcome to participate as a limited number of cameras are available for loan. To request to borrow a camera, contact Ashley Kang via email at ashley@mysouthsidestand.com or call The Stand at (315)
882-1054.

The Photo Walk will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 22, starting at the South Side Innovation Center, 2610 S. Salina St. The building has a large parking lot shared with Dunk & Bright Furniture.
