Spring Issue

The Stand is now a digital first publication.

Digital first means content is released into new media channels in preference to traditional ones. This means you may have already seen online the stories featured in our Spring 2022 Print Edition. But it also means, moving forward, that every print edition represents our best stories from the past few months.

The Spring edition’s cover story takes a look back at The Stand’s annual Photo Walks and pairs with the project’s photo exhibit on view at ArtRage Gallery April 2 through May 14.

An opening reception will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at the gallery, 505 Hawley Ave.

Then, a Gallery Talk is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 6. Join Ashley Kang, director of The Stand, and Solon Quinn and Bob Gates, South Side Photo Walk leaders, for a discussion about the history and impact of this innovative community-building photography project.

Or stop by to view the show while it’s up. The gallery is open 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday.
